- Another Obama shift before your eyes. Gonna leave Afghanistan; Gonna pull the troops out; etc. Now, we are going to leave our guys there for 10 years past 2014. Good heavens! I thought the Republicans would keep us there for 5-6 years but now we have Obama and the "neverending" wars.

- Until we make these folks accountable like you and I are these types of stupidity and waste will continue. If we took that kind of money from our employer we would be 1) fired, 2) held criminally responsible and 3) go to jail.

- Karzai is a product of his country and the prime example of why they cannot, and will not, survive after we withdraw - which we need to do NOW. I am a conservative and very hawkish. I am however reasonable objective. Our goals in Afghanistan have been met. We have no business there.

- We know how to fight and defeat them. Our military could eliminate these pests very quickly - IF you let them fight a real war. We are not there to defeat them. We are there to play political games while performing a "police" action.

Healthcare costs too much. People that don't have healthcare run to the emergency room and jack up the costs for everyone. And we don't want to forget about the people on Medicaid that go to the emergency room with a cough because health insurance premiums don't apply to them and they're getting services for free.

Why is health insurance linked to employment for most folks. Here is a radical thought, I think that employers should pay a set amount of money for the number of employees they employ and the money should go to help low-income and middle-income people with the cost of private insurance. I think everyone should pay what they can comfortably afford to pay according to their income. I don't think it should be totally free. Private insurance costs need to be kept down.

And there should be incentives for people that do the right things -- healthy weight, exercise regularly, only go for medical tests that are necessary, and stay out of the emergency room for routine treatment.

Preventative care is the best medical practice. It saves money in the long run for everyone.
